KRUSHUNA WATERFALLS (MAARATA) ARE SITUATED IN THE VILLAGE OF KRUSHUNA, MUNICIPALITY OF LETNICA, LOVECH REGION. THIS IS THE BIGGEST WATER TRAVERTINE CASSCADE IN THE COUNTRY, WITH MULTIPLE STRAWS, BASKETS AND HIGHLY VARIED VEGETATIVE AND ANIMAL SPACIES.

For the convenience of tourists is built an eco-path, where tourists can admire the exquisite picture inspired by the crystal water of the waterfalls and the fresh green vegetation of the surrounding area. The first impression that every visitor may have is that this place is like a movie about some exotic island. The flowing water on the rocks seems to bring some adventure, and the brooks, formed by the clear water of the river, inspire tourists with peace and coziness. The main waterfall descends from a height of 20 m. It is divided into several sleeves and creates several more waterfalls. The air to the waterfall is moist and saturated with water droplets. The area is completely impassable. Without the stairs and the formed eco-path the source of the waterfall cannot be reached. It is hidden from the cave of the same name. There is acramped path that runs along the limestone cliff. There are many eco paths in the area that lead you to the local attractions. Devetaki Cave is nearby, where you can gain using the built eco-path. The trail is marked, but the signs are missing in some places. The cave has the largest antechamber in Europe. It is the largest of the 60 caves in the area of Devetaki Plateau.
