KRUSHUNA WATERFALLS (MAARATA) ARE SITUATED IN THE VILLAGE OF KRUSHUNA, MUNICIPALITY OF LETNICA, LOVECH REGION. THIS IS THE BIGGEST WATER TRAVERTINE CASSCADE IN THE COUNTRY, WITH MULTIPLE STRAWS, BASKETS AND HIGHLY VARIED VEGETATIVE AND ANIMAL SPACIES.

For the convenience of tourists is built an eco-path, where tourists can admire the exquisite picture inspired by the crystal water of the waterfalls and the fresh green vegetation of the surrounding area. The first impression that every visitor may have is that this place is like a movie about some exotic island. The flowing water on the rocks seems to bring some adventure, and the brooks, formed by the clear water of the river, inspire tourists with peace and coziness. The main waterfall descends from a height of 20 m. It is divided into several sleeves and creates several more waterfalls. The air to the waterfall is moist and saturated with water droplets. The area is completely impassable. Without the stairs and the formed eco-path the source of the waterfall cannot be reached. It is hidden from the cave of the same name. There is acramped path that runs along the limestone cliff. There are many eco paths in the area that lead you to the local attractions. Devetaki Cave is nearby, where you can gain using the built eco-path. The trail is marked, but the signs are missing in some places. The cave has the largest antechamber in Europe. It is the largest of the 60 caves in the area of Devetaki Plateau.

Interesting for the tourists and guests of the village of Karpachevo is the Stabulitsa Cave, with the shape of a reverse funnel. Located about 3 km west of the village, it is accessible on foot, with an out-of-the-way bicycle or by car. In rainy weather the car road becomes more difficult.

The cave is an ideal round underground hall with a diameter of about 40 meters. It climbs down a metal ladder, which was repaired in 2010 by Devetaki Plateau Association and the village people. The cave is unique not only because of its shape – when the sun shines through the cave, the sunbeam stands at a different angle, depending on the time of the year and the time of your watching.

Extreme challenge for photography lovers. Moisture in the cave steam away in the lighted space, and this game of light and steam lets you unleash your imagination. If you want to go in, you need a lantern. Gumboots are also a good idea.

It is a vertical cave with an impressive entrance and a depth of over 60 meters. The cave is descending on an almost vertical metal ladder – the feeling is unforgettable.

Only 20 km away from Krushuna village on the way to Lovech is the Devetaki Cave.

One of the largest caves in Bulgaria, used for storage by the military in the past, now the cave gives shelter to bats / because of their breeding period, access from June 1 to July 31 is forbidden. / In the 1950s it was used for oil storage and the big tanks still stand near the entrance to the cave. According to some reports, due to the size of the cave, it was used for storing food from the state reserve and for deploying rocket launchers. The cave can be reached using the bridge rebuilt in 2011 – direction Lovech-Letnitsa -> after the road fork to the village of Devetaki, continue to the direction of Letnitsa, in the right is visible a high chimney, 200m after it, to the right, no plate, narrow asphalt road, passing 300m to the new bridge and after it is The Devetaki cave.
